Before you dismiss this all as rhetoric or pseudoscience, consider this: The field of quantum physics is a mathematical system for the universe that is one of the most experimentally accurate and proven mathematical models of the universe that has ever been created.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the aforementioned disciplines and see how they just may fit into a quantum model of the universe. At our very tiniest levels, human beings are indistinguishable from any other piece of the universe. All of the universe – from the chair you are sitting on to the computer you are reading this on to the heart that beats inside of you as you read this are made up of exactly the same thing – teeny tiny bands of vibrating energy surrounded by vast, empty spaces of nothingness. What determines what the form of matter is that the energy takes is largely determined by the frequency at which these bands of energy vibrate.

That is the first part, but there’s more to it than that. It is theorized that all of the miniscule particles of vibrational energy that make up the entire universe became entangled with one another at the moment of creation of the universe – or the Big Bang. When you consider that this entanglement then causes all entangled particles to act instantaneously to stimulus applied to one regardless of time or distance, than it becomes possible to imagine the interaction between all that is, all that was and all that will be. It is one giant, entangled universe that responds as a single organism to applied stimulus. This stimulus can be more than what we perceive as physical, however. It can be any energy form, including thought, prayer, emotion and belief. There have even been studies that show that thought forms of energy (such as prayer) can travel backwards through time to affect a physical organism.

When you consider the universe in this manner, it allows you a new framework through witch to view the mystical. From this point of view (which has, after all, been proven both mathematically and experimentally), it becomes far easier to understand how a mystical concept such as numerology or astrology just may be part of the structure that makes up our universe and shapes our existence within that universe.

The question then becomes this: if our lives are, indeed, influenced by numerological and astrological factors, are we doomed to live out predetermined lives?

At least one company doesn’t believe so. Visiber makes a number of quantum products meant to balance vibrational energy. The products have been altered using a quantum laser process that binds numerological qualities with vibrational frequencies to jewelry and other personal items. When these items are worn, the vibrations from the product affect the vibrational frequency of anything surrounding or in contact with the item, causing a balancing or shifting of energy.

If it sounds crazy to you, just remember the quantum weirdness that we previously discussed. That’s all we really are – vibrating energy formed into matter – and all of that energy is affected by everything it comes into contact with. You can’t affect one part of the system without affecting the entire system because it is all entangled. Therefore, introducing an element that vibrates with qualities that can positively affect your life just may balance your energies in such a way that you can affect positive changes without being at the mercy of predetermined numerical or astrological traits.

While quantum physics and its theories have been around since the middle of the 20th century, its applications into our every day life are just now being explored. As these applications are being explored, people are discovering that the laws of quantum physics just may be able to be applied on a personal level in ways that positively affect our behavior, psychology, health, and, indeed, the very fabric of our lives.

Quantum Weirdness: Is there a Physical Basis for Numerology and Astrology Part 1 of 2?

There are many who believe that we can learn much about ourselves, our character, our life’s path, our behaviors and our future using concepts such as numerology and astrology. While some eschew these studies as overly general, falsely predeterministic constructs, others carefully study the correlation between human behavior and how it relates to things such as birth date, numbers and planetary alignments.

Numerology and astrology can be found in numerous philosophies around the world. With so many disparate populations separately giving credence to the power of numbers and the alignment of stars in our lives, is it possible that these things do, indeed, determine to some part how we present in this world?

Taking a look at our universe on a miniscule (quantum) scale just may yield answers to such questions. The scientific reality is this: in our quantum universe, the extremely odd is commonplace. What happens on a quantum level would be viewed as paranormal or mystical if it was carried out on a macro level, and yet quantum research is showing that what happens on a micro scale also applies on a macro scale.

Some of this quantum weirdness includes quantum particles that can exist in more than one state simultaneously, just waiting for an observer to cause them to permanently settle (collapse) into one state or another. More quantum weirdness involves particles that seemingly defy the laws of matter by having more than one particle existing in the exact same place at the exact same moment in time. Still other quantum weirdness involves particles that become “entangled” and respond instantaneously in the exact same way to stimulus applied to only one of the particles – regardless of how far apart in time or distance the two particles are. Not only that, but quantum physics has also shown that what we observe to be our three dimensional universe really has at least nine other dimensions all hidden and folded up in such a way that we can calculate them but not observe them. We can no more physically perceive a universe with more than three-dimensions than a drawing of a stick figure could perceive a universe with more than two dimensions. And yet, whether we can perceive it or not, those dimensions still exist undetected and undetectable with the five senses that we have been given.

With such “weirdness” underlying the very structure of our universe, it becomes much easier to understand that what we observe in our physical world is really only the tip of the iceberg. What is considered paranormal and mystical in our “real world” experience may, indeed, have a basis in real physical and mathematical science. This includes the multi-cultural studies of heretofore thought of as “mystical” topics such as numerology, astrology, crystal healing and energy medicine.

The Use of NLP in Quantum Business Models to Drive Focused Intention

What are the right set of circumstances for a thought to become a thing? Focus, attention and intention can all combine to make what you think about manifest in your business. And the more people who are directing their focus, intention and attention towards a common goal, the more quickly what is being focused on will become manifest. It’s like a magnet. The bigger the magnet, the stronger the pull. So it is with large amounts of energy from focused intention. When groups of people all focus their intention together, then the magnetic pull is exponentially larger than when a single person focuses alone.

This is why having a team with a common goal and a shared vision is so important to the success of a business. Because the focused visualizations of the team become a magnet that goes out into the quantum ooze and attracts the solid manifestation of the shared vision.

If you have a team full of talented players, then that is certainly part of the formula; however, when everyone focuses on a shared vision – it is then that apparent business miracles will happen. In reality it isn’t miraculous at all. It is merely the logical outcome of the application and understanding of the laws that underlie our universe.

Neurolinguistic programming (NLP) provides a simple tool that you can use to help to focus your team so that you all share a common vision. By learning the basics of this method, you can anchor certain behaviors and thought processes in your employees so that you can harness the power of group focused intention. Knowledge of NLP techniques can also help to focus communication amongst your team members so that you can better relate to one another, which aids in the communication of a common vision.

Not only does NLP help with focusing your team so that you can attract to your business the types of customers and clients you desire, but it can also be used when you are working with those clients to find the best business solution to meet their needs. The same simple anchoring processes can enhance communications with your customers and help them to also become part of your overall vision of success and achievement.

While it may sound like big promises are being made, the truth is this. NLP is an extremely powerful tool in the right hands. And the person who understands both NLP techniques and the laws of the universe at its tiniest levels is the one who will be able to shape their lives and businesses in the ways that they desire.

The Use of NLP in Quantum Business Models to Drive Focused Intention

In business, sharing a common goal and vision with your team can mean the difference between success and failure. As a matter of fact, a shared vision amongst team members is more important than the talent level of each of the members.

On the surface, it would seem that shared vision drives success because all of the team members are working towards the same goal and are therefore willing to work harder. While that is part of the reason, it isn’t the entire reason that common vision is so important.

In order to understand how shared vision can impact the success or failure of your team, let’s take a step back and look under the surface – beyond what you experience as the physical world to the energetic one of which we are all a part.

Using the word “energy” often has woo woo New Age connotations, but the energetic structure that underlies our very universe also has a basis in science. Everything and everyone that exists in your business is made up of the same stuff. As a matter of fact, on a micro level, everything in the universe is made up of the same stuff: teeny tiny particles that all behave in the same ways. These particles can exist as either a solid piece of matter or an energy wave. Not only can they exist in either of these states, but they do exist in either of these states until they measured by an outside observer and they become either one or the other – a particle or a wave. Until the observer comes into the picture, each unit that makes up solid matter exists only as the possibility to be mass or energy.

If one truly understands this – that everything exists in a state of possibility until it is observed – then it has some pretty earth shattering implications. It means that there is nothing but possibility until an observer enters the picture. And only in that moment do the tiniest units of matter pull together to form something solid – or something energetic.

When you think of “everything in the universe,” it is quite likely that you are looking around you at all of the solid objects you see – the trees, the sky, your desk, a credenza, a chair, your arm. But that is only a small part of “everything” in the universe. In this case, the word “everything” is truly all-inclusive. Not only does it consist of tangibles like grass, plants and animals, but it also consists of intangibles like thought, belief, visualization and emotion.

Each of these intangibles is made up of the very same stuff that the tangibles are – only because you don’t experience them with your five senses, it is difficult to realize that something such as a thought has a physical basis.

It does. Thought reaches into that realm where everything exists as pure possibility – the quantum ooze where microparticles await an observer to settle into a final state. Thought extracts some of those particles from that state of possibility, and they become energy. As we have shown, energy is not merely energy – it is both the possibility of energy and the possibility of mass. So while an intangible such as a thought or emotion starts as energy, it has the equal possibility of becoming something sold and tangible. It can become a thing. In a very real way, thoughts can and do become things under the right set of circumstances.

Are Your Feelings Your Own? Using the Principles of Quantum Psychology for a Happier Life

The question then becomes why we don’t experience occurrence that everyone and everything else in the universe is experiencing at the same time they do. The explanation lies in filtering. As a survival mechanism, humans have become very adept at putting filters in place in order to sift through all of the information that bombards us on every level. Without the filters, we would be constantly inundated with so much information that we would barely be able to function; therefore, we have adapted to sift through information so we experience only those pieces of information that we find relevant to our own personal points of view.

If we are able to experience and be affected by the moods and feelings of others without ever physically interacting with them, is there a way in which we can adapt in order to filter out those feelings that we don’t want to experience? Can we reset our filters?

The answers can be found in neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and hypnosis. Both of these processes are powerful ways to set your own personal filters in such a manner that you are not adversely affected by the negativity of others. Both modalities are a wonderful adjunct to quantum psychology, allowing you to work with your mind on the subconscious level where all of your filters reside.

In hypnosis, your subconscious is accessed through deep relaxation. Once a hypnotic state is achieved, your mind is open and suggestible to change. Simple post-hypnotic suggestions made in a trance state can help you to build a defense against negativity, or, conversely, be more open to intuition and positive messages.

NLP differs from hypnosis in that there is no need for a trance state. Instead, NLP works by anchoring certain thoughts, feelings and behaviors that can then be self-activated through the use of simple physical triggers.

As you can see, there is really no reason why you need to be affected by the negative energy of another. When such a negative energy transfer occurs, many are unaware of what has happened, and they assume that what they are experiencing is their own “mood.” You can avoid this by simply being aware of the process by which interactions occur, and by providing yourself with the appropriate tools to counteract such interactions. In doing so, you just may experience a whole new universe in which you are a happier, more positive person.

Are your feelings your own? Using the Principles of Quantum Psychology for a Happier life!

Have you ever been around someone who gave off a feeling of negative energy? Perhaps you were in a perfectly good mood before encountering this person, and after being in their presence for just a few moments, your mood changed for the worse in spite of the fact that you had no negative interactions. Conversely, how about shiny happy people? Have you ever felt your mood uplifted just by being in the presence of a perpetually happy person? How in tune are you with your partner or best friend? Do you ever come up with the same thought at the same time?

Many people these phenomena off as mere coincidence; however, we are learning from the exciting new field of quantum psychology that there may be more to these types of interactions than we ever thought possible. Not only that, but there is very likely a scientific explanation for such amazing mental synchronicities.

Quantum psychology is a relatively new area of study into the human mind. The science is based upon the logic of quantum physics, which gives us insight into how our universe works at its tiniest observable levels. Interestingly, what quantum physicists have learned about our subatomic universe may also explain many of the mysteries of the human mind – and human consciousness.

One of the principles of quantum physics, which seems to have a bearing on quantum psychology, is what is known as quantum entanglement (a.k.a. “spooky action at a distance.”) The principle of quantum entanglement, which has borne out experimentally in mathematics and in the laboratory, states that whenever a pair of subatomic particles has an interaction, they become forever entangled with one another. Once entanglement occurs, those two particles are forever linked, and whatever affects one of the pair of particles will affect the other, as well. Time, distance and space between the particles doesn’t matter in the slightest. Not only that, but when one particle is affected, the other is also affected instantaneously.

It is theorized that particle interaction resulting in quantum entanglement occurred at the Big Bang, which theoretically means that every sub-atomic particle in the universe is entangled with every other sub-atomic particle in the universe in a sort of web of interlinked particles. No matter where each particle exists in space or time, those links remain in place and information received by one particle is instantaneously received by every other particle in the entire universe. This interconnected web has been called the zero point field, or more recently, the scalar field. In New Age circles, this sub-atomic web is often referred to as the “collective consciousness.”

What does all of this have to do with human consciousness and quantum psychology? As tiny pieces of the universe, each of us is made up of the same stuff as the rest of the universe on a sub-atomic level. Our bodies and our minds are made up of these entangled sub-atomic particles that receive and respond to information instantaneously.

This sub-atomic web – the zero point field – offers up a potential explanation for the scenarios that we examined above. What appears to be a coincidental synchronicity – for example when you and your partner have the same thought at exactly the same moment – may actually be the sub-atomic particles of both of your minds receiving the same information instantaneously. It can also explain why your mood may be affected by the happy person in the room – or by the crabby one – in spite of the fact that you haven’t interacted with either of them.

According to quantum psychology, much of your experience is driven by perception. How you perceive the world is the direct result of a number of factors, including psycho-social programming, experiences and imprinting. Most of this programming that drives your perception of the world occurs on a subconscious level, and is so instantaneous and ingrained that you aren’t even aware it is taking place.

NLP and hypnosis are both techniques, which can help to alter the structure of your thinking and perceptions by providing you with a mechanism by which you can shift from negative subconscious thought pattern to a positive ones.

In hypnosis, this is achieved through suggestion when you are in a deeply relaxed and suggestive state. Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis isn’t about giving up control.  Instead, hypnosis is a method of bypassing your conscious mind an going straight to the source of many of your fears and negative thought patterns that have been built up through a lifetime of conditioning and programming. When in a hypnotic state, your subconscious mind is more willing and able to receive and internalize helpful suggestions because conscious thought has been bypassed. A skilled hypnotherapist can help you to not only discover the source of much of your world-view, but also work with your state of suggestibility to make changes to those thought patterns and beliefs that are destructive to your current goals.

NLP can be used separately from – or in conjunction with – hypnotherapy. An NLP practitioner can help you to attach to new thought patterns. Using a technique called anchoring, an NLP practitioner can teach you to replace harmful thoughts and beliefs with more helpful and productive ones with a simple gesture or trigger.

Although the field of quantum psychology is a relatively recent innovation, it is revolutionizing the way that many people live their lives. Its principles, based on the sound logic of quantum physic, can be applied to your life, as well. In doing so, you can change the way that you think, leading to a happier, more fulfilled life.

As a hypnotist I am constantly working with clients who want to lose weight and get in shape. With this in mind I want you to have a good working knowledge of what a good program for lifestyle changes and physical fitness is all about. It is not to say that we need to become personal trainers, but we need to be able to understand the basics, so we can communicate this to our clients.

When working with people to help them achieve a lifestyle change it is important to have a working knowledge of what a complete fitness program contains. These fitness programs can be assembled in many ways. In fact there are so many diet fads, supplements, and training techniques that it is easy to become overwhelmed. There are six factors that should be considered as key elements of a good overall fitness program.

Mental attitude
Training
Diet and Nutrition
Stretching and Flexibility
Supplementation
Rest and Recuperation

Changing your life often starts with changing your thinking. For many, finding that new way of thinking is triggered by epiphany – what Oprah Winfrey refers to as an “Ah Ha! Moment.” While it seems that such moments are spontaneous, it is more often true that new thought patterns are arrived at through careful and deliberate inner work. Enter quantum psychology.

Quantum psychology has much to teach us about the inner workings of our mind.  What is quantum psychology? It is the application of the logic of quantum physics — which is currently the most accurate and mathematically precise model we have of our sub-atomic universe — to the field of psychology. When the principles of quantum psychology are combined with therapy techniques such as hypnosis and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), it is possible to reprogram your old thought patterns and habits – leading you to a new way of thinking.

According to quantum psychology, your thoughts and perceptions have a huge effect on your experience of the world.  Negative thought patterns can and do affect everything in your life – from your health and wellness to your prosperity and happiness.

Why is this? Recent research suggests that your thoughts actually become your reality. If you don’t believe me, consider self-fulfilling prophecies. Often, that which we fear and worry about the most manifests in our lives – but would it if we didn’t have constant thoughts about it? Do our thoughts affect our physical reality?

Japanese researcher Masaru Emoto believes that thoughts and beliefs can, indeed, affect physical reality. In his research on how thoughts affect water molecules (The Hidden Messages in Water, Beyond Words Publishing, 2001), Emoto showed experimentally how different thoughts and constructs affected the formation of untreated, distilled water crystals. He did this by typing words onto a piece of paper and taping them onto glass water bottles over night. Some he also subjected to different types of music – from heavy metal to classical music. The water was then frozen and the crystals photographed.

Some of Emoto’s messages included “You make me sick, I will kill you,” “Mother Teresa,” “Love and appreciation,” “Adolph Hitler,” and, “Thank you.”  Interestingly, the crystals all appeared very different from one another. Those with negative messages appeared to have failed to form a crystalline structure at all, while those with positive messages formed beautiful, symmetrical crystals, much like a snowflake. The same was true for the water subjected to heavy metal music (no crystal formation) vs. water subjected to peaceful music (symmetrical crystals).

Emoto’s conclusion from his research is that thoughts and consciousness can affect your environment. You can view some of Emoto’s photographs of water crystals on his website, http://www.life-enthusiast.com/twilight/research_emoto.htm.

While Emoto’s experimental methods are not carefully scientifically controlled, his findings nevertheless raise interesting questions. If this is true of water, is it true of other natural substances? Is it true of situations in your life? Have you thought your reality into being either consciously or unconsciously? Both quantum psychology and traditional psychology have shown that your thoughts and beliefs do, indeed, affect outcomes in your life. This is why the application of labels in childhood is such a powerful thing that you will often find people still living up to childhood labels well into adulthood. How were you labeled as a child? Do you still unconsciously live out those labels as an adult?

If the above is true, then the first step to changing your life may be identifying the thought patterns that don’t serve you and changing them. To many, this seems like a herculean task, since it often appears that your thoughts think you rather than the other way around. If I were to suddenly tell you, “Don’t think about the weather,” it would probably be the first thing that came to mind. Was it you thinking that thought, or was the thought thinking you?

With some awareness of these negative thought patterns, you can consciously begin to change your thoughts to those that will lead to positive outcomes in your life.

We left off last time in our quest for the elements of a Successful Fitness program with nutrition, the next 3 will place you years ahead of the rest in you desire to become the person you want to be, as these are the overlooked aspects of health!

The six factors elements again that should be considered as key elements of a good overall fitness program.

Mental attitude

Training

Diet and Nutrition

Stretching and Flexibility

Supplementation

Rest and Recuperation

I personally believe that the next key, stretching and flexibility, are too often over looked. Several years ago I was a power lifter and body builder, but I had no flexibility. When I got back into the martial arts I was reminded of how important flexibility is. I am now more flexible at 45 than I was at 25. (Compared to many martial artists I am still stiff because I enjoy lifting weights.) When you look at world class athletes you find they are all flexible. Current research also shows that flexibility will add years to your life, and life to your years. It keeps joints loose and may help joint problems. Any good training program will build in stretching as a part of it. As therapists who sit all day, we need to add this to our own routine.
